The Chordettes

Ich war mal wieder ein bisschen auf youtube unterwegs, um Songs zu finden, die für eine Schul-Wette (später mal mehr) geeignet wären.

Der letzte Beitrag hat ja schon gezeigt, dass mein Musikgeschmack recht tolerant ist und die verschiedensten Genre verträgt. Aber heute könnte es sein, dass manche von euch das youtube-Video lieber vorzeitig abbrechen.

 

Evtl. ist ja der Name der Band für manche der ‘älteren’ Leser dieses Blogs ein Begriff. „The Chordettes“ – schonmal gehört?

Hinter dem Namen verbirgt sich eine Frauengruppe (die Bezeichnung ‘Girlgroup’ wäre wirklich unangebracht), die für so manchen Ohrwurm gesorgt hat.

Unter anderem für Mr Sandman!

 

Ein anderer Song passt sogar (in den verschiedensten Remix’) noch in die heutige Zeit: Lollipop

Music: Top 3 of the day!

Usually i’m listening to music all day long. Every morning when i wake up. Every afternoon when i do my homework. Sometimes in school (psssht). And even when i’m sleeping!

And today i want to share with you my „Top 3 of the day„!

 

The 3rd place goes to The Egg – Walking away (mylo-mix)

 

The second place goes to a german band, which i like veeery much! You should check out their other songs! Ohrbooten – Und tschüss!

Der (einzige) Vorteil von CCTV

Vielleicht haben manche von euch schon einmal etwas von „CCTV“ gehört. Damit meine ich das chinesische Staatsfernsehen, das den selben Namen trägt, sondern vielmehr “Closed Circuit Television“.

CCTV sorgt in England dafür, dass der normale englische Bürger mehrmals pro Tag von Videokameras erfasst und aufgezeichnet wird, wobei gesagt werden muss, dass CCTV sehr viel stärker verbreitet ist, als die ‘übliche’ Überwachung hier in Deutschland.

Obwohl ich normalerweise zu 100% gegen Überwachung und Vorhaben wie die Vorratsdatenspeicherung bin, muss ich gestehen, dass ich beim folgenden Fundstück doch ins Schmunzeln gekommen bin. Denn in England hat sich eine Band, die anscheinend zu wenig Geld für einen professionellen Videoclip hatte, das ganze System durch ein Gesetz zum Vorteil gemacht! Es gibt dort nämlich auch ein Gesetz, welches besagt, dass man die Videoaufnahmen auf denen man aufgezeichnet wurde gegen Vorlage von Personalien bekommt, und frei verwenden darf.

Somit braucht die Band nur noch die Kameras ausfindig machen (was nicht sonderlich schwer ist ), und ein bisschen Straßenmusik veranstalten. Danach haben sie alle Videos eingefordert, geschnitten und mit ihrem Song hinterlegt.

Auch wenn die Musik evtl. nicht die beste ist, so ist der Hintergedanke doch sehr tiefgründig, und trotzdem auf eine witzige Art präsentiert worden.

iPod Game: Raging Thunder

Usually I don’t play games on my computer.

But since my iPod touch has been jailbroken I started playing games on my iPod. And I can just tell that it’s a lot of fun, and sometimes even a good alternation to the boring chemistry-lessons!

Last weekend I found a very fun game I want to share with you!

It’s called „Raging Thunder“ and was developed by Polarbit.

If you’re also playing games on your iPod you may now that the controls are very crummy! But not in this game!

You drive the car by turning the ipod to the left or right hand side, and accelerate it by collecting the flash-symbols.

 

But what made me stunned most was the fact that you can upgrade your car! When you’re on the racetrack you can collect Dollar-symbols flying around, and spend  them for upgrades afterwards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It’s just like in real computer-games, but on your iPod!!!

This games is one of the best fot the iPod i’ve ever seen, and i’m really curios about the games which will come with the iPod-SDK!

Q&A with the Stöckchen

Maybe you’ve heard of the „Stöckchen“-questions!?

In case you get the Stöckchen from one blogger/person who knows you, or wants to know more about you (in my case nareharo), you have to answer the questions.

And that’s exactly what i’m about to do now!

 

>In welchen Städten bist du schon gewesen?<

Well.. not that much!

Just: Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt a.M., Cologne, London, Milano, Rome, Hannover, Canterbury, and several veeeeery, very small cities.

 

>Welche Stadt (nicht die, in der du wohnst!) gefällt dir am besten?<

This question is very easy: New York City!

why? because of the architecture, the people, the skyline, the language, the architecture, the apple stores, the parks, the streets, … and uuum… have i said ‘architecture’ already?

I just love this city (even i’ve never been there =/)

Every city i listed on top was great!

But the city i hate most at the moment is the town i’m living in right now!

It’s small. No events. just veeeeery old architecture, no apple stores! it’s like an alpmare to me. but unfortunately i’m under 18 and not allowed to live where I want… so I have to stay here for about x years. =/

Usually by train or by car. sometimes on plain.

hm… maybe San Pietro? Perhaps he answered it a couple of times yet (you must know – he’s a famous blogger!), but it can’t be wrong if he answeres it one more time.^^

 

 

Changing weather

While weather is something you may talk often with your girlfriend about, I just want to show you these two pics i took yesterday and today afternoon at the same time.

 

Awesome how fast weather can change a normal tree into a brilliant interplay between light and colors!

After a couple of problems with the blogging-system i think i figured it out, and am ready to take off!

This blog is going to be bilingual. Sometimes in English, and sometimes also in German!
